Solo Editing Services

Line/Copy Editing:  $0.020 per word

• Focuses on clarity, flow, sentence structure, paragraph structure, consistency, word choice, readability/tone, grammar, spelling, and punctuation, all while maintaining your unique authorly voice and style.

• This service is also offered for poetry.

• This service is also offered for academic, technical, and business writing.

Developmental Editing: $0.025 per word

• Focuses on the manuscript as a whole, paying special attention to plot development, plot holes, narrative arc, thematic development, character development, character arcs, dialogue, genre alignment/expectations.

Proofreading: $0.008 per word

• Focuses on error detection with grammar, spelling, punctuation, format, and consistency in a final draft that has already gone through either professional editing or extensive self-editing, both line/copy and developmental, to make sure nothing was missed.

• This service is also offered for academic, technical, and business writing.

Editing Services Bundle

Developmental, Copy, and Line Editing: $0.027 per word

• Two separate rounds of editing, the first of which focuses on the narrative structure and the second of which focuses on sentence- and paragraph-level issues.

Do you need a reader's perspective on what is/isn't working in your story in terms of plot, characterization, and flow? I offer alpha and beta reading for novellas and full-length novels at a fixed price.

Alpha/Beta Reading Services:

Manuscripts of 50k words or less- $25-$50

Manuscripts between 50k and 100k words- $75-$100

Manuscripts of 100k words or more- $150-$200
